Hi Mychaela, Good news, your new method for setting baud rates works very well with my FTDI device. I had no problem connecting with the bootloader then switching to 812500 to perform a flash dump. I am using Debian 9 (Linux 4.9.30 and glibc 6.3). Setting the new libserial as the default should do no harm I believe.
