I don't do much raster work these days, so haven't been motivated to add such features to Worldmill. It's been a long time since we've received any patches or feature requests for PCL. People who want to make desktop GIS apps seem to be sticking to the QGIS Python stuff. Web programmers who want to do some "neo-geography" (and this is more my line of work these days) aren't interested in "GeoTools for Python" or "the Zope of GIS", and this leaves PCL stuck in the middle. Shapely and Worldmill are much more popular than PCL ever was.
