Decide how wide you want the cut to be. Buffer the line by half of
that amount, so that your line is now a polygon that wide. Use the
difference operation to remove that polygon's area from the one you
want to split. The result should be a MultiPolygon.

If you don't want to lose any of the polygon's area, you'll need to do
something more complicated.
