Hmm. You are absolutely correct - security through obscurity + sneaky tricks aren't going to work medium-long term. Imagine you wanted to steal my Neo, how could I stop you from using it? Does the bootloader reside in SDRam or flash or somewhere else? In other words, how hard would it be for someone who knows what they are doing to use a backdoor, to bypass all our userspace security fun?
