Hear! Hear!! I've been waiting for months for the first phones! I'd be happy to pre-order for 2 reasons: 1) to guarantee i'd be getting a phone as soon as possible 2) to get some much-needed cash in the hands of FIC and OpenMoko to keep things moving in the right direction

It seems to me that the OpenMoko project is waiting to have usable phones before accepting peoples money, this is an "order", not a pre-order that the wiki says there's a possibility of.
