i don't know how the thing is arranged inside, so i'm just guessing
here, but i would think the vibrator that tells you when the phone is
ringing is attached to some other part of the phone than the lcd. yes,
every device is coupled mechanically by the fact it's a one-piece
unit, but there will be damping between those two items i would
imagine, whether by design or coincidence. for example nylon washers,
standoff brackets, the external case
