DUN (Dial up Networking) is the standard, I believe.
That gives control to the 'laptop', whereas PAN (Personal Area Network)
really just networks the two devices and doesn't necessarily provide for
connection sharing, IIRC, but this is all from memory, so I may be quite
mistaken.
