This probably won't happen. Some of the official Openmoko people can chime in here, but I think that their current system/CC provider doesn't allow them to accept orders on products that aren't shipping.
yeah, lets just have a pre-order list so that we can sign up for it and be absolutely sure that we'll get the news as soon as things are ready for a real order.
