Unclear at this point of time. We're going to focus on the python implementation to get to a dbus API as soon as possible, so that people can start writing applications on top of that. Once the python implementation is finished, we're going to profile and check whether we actually need to rewrite it in a compiled language. If not, we're finished. If so, we'll probably first replace the bottlenecks with compiled extension modules.
