I got the same error with a PNC Bank Visa Debit card, and ended up using a different card to buy it, but my bank notified me of three transactions that were withdrawn or canceled or something. So it "worked" but it didn't finish. I also found the webstore didn't work in firefox 3 on my linux box, which was strange, it might have been a plugin though.
