| Should kernels and distributions be seen as independent (that is, can I | update a kernel separately from a distribution, and use one kernel with | multiple distributions), or should they be seen as dependent (each | distribution should have a separate kernel)? They are all reliant on exactly the same kernel sources. Which "mostly works" at the moment. If you use Debian though, obviously you need those sources compiled and packaged to .deb and not .ipk. But you are dealing with the same "curates egg" kernel. - -Andy -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkijMH8ACgkQOjLpvpq7dMpCjQCbBKtEqWB4GK/+3VrZ6KyxWTbK RUgAnAnmi4aAZ9T5OU9wo+WBU3zL0L3O =ROOJ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
