I just tested again. The power button will suspend my Neo 1973 if I press it for about 2 - 3 seconds. Correction: I can hold it in for 5 - 15 seconds as well, and the device will go into suspend when I release the button. When suspended, a short press on either AUX or power button will wake the device.
