(not speaking about openoffice) probably the best thing to do should be to crosscompile everything on desktop and then prepare some "syncing" scripts, to have two identical environments.. The sync should be in both directions, so portage could know about file conflicts, externally installed packages, configuration files and such things.. it can also be a good occasion to make a backup :) roby
