In the LED software specification: http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/FreeRunner/Buttons_and_LEDs
one wouldn't be able to tell if the phone is OFF or in SUSPEND mode. All LEDs are specified off in both modes. I think it would be useful to be able to differentiate between the two, but perhaps, it is technically impossible to do LED brightness while in suspend?
