For anyone who misses "ntpq" out of the standard ipk, I built a package that includes the standard utilities:
ntp-keygen ntp-wait ntpd ntpdate ntpdc ntpq ntptime ntptrace It was built on the freerunner itself against 2008.testing (as at 6/12/08) The init.d file is the same one from the standard package - but the ipk doesnt auto-start it like the standard ntp ipk (I want CONTROL dammit :) I have included an ntp.conf that has a GPS stanza - seems unstable and my local internet linked ntp server (over WiFi) is much better - someone may suggest something here. Available from: http://wdk.dyndns.org/freerunner/ntp_4.2.4_p5_armv4t.ipk Remove any existing ntp packages: "opkg remove ntp" opkg install http://wdk.dyndns.org/freerunner/ntp_4.2.4_p5_armv4t.ipk Have fun, BillK On Fri, 2008-12-05 at 16:21 +0900, William Kenworthy wrote: > How can I find the status for a running ntpd? > > On desktops, I use "ntpq", but this doesnt seem available on the FR - I > have ntp, ntpdate and ntp-utils installed so far. > > grepping the logread for ntp messages isnt enough to see whats going > on :( > > BillK > > -- William Kenworthy <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Home in Perth! _______________________________________________ Openmoko community mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
