When I was using FDOM 20080927 I changed control.4 (Speaker Playback Volume) in /usr/share/openmoko/scenarios/gsmhandset.state to 117 and I had no echo problem. Now I'm using 2008.12. I tried the same there, but it didn't help. Then I copied the gsmhandset.state from my old FDOM backup, but the echo was still there. Then I played with alsamixer during a call and I discovered, that if I change the control.5 (Mono Playback Volume) to 85, then the echo is gone!
