I tried it with the SHR testing distro. Dictator recorded both sides of a phone call, albeit very low. Recording from mic only didn't work for me. I got nothing, even though I happened to sneeze loudly in the middle of one test. Also, dictator seems to record in stereo, while these sources are mono. One channel is silent. Avoiding unnecessary stereo gives the cpu less work, which is important with this weak cpu. (The game linball works with mono sound files but have choppy sound with stereo, for example.)
