I do have buzz using the headset (actually, both parties can hear the buzz) in certain situations (I assume it depends on the quality of the GSM signal), especially when riding a train while using the headset. I assumed that buzz is a hardware problem and is thus not connected to the state file you are using - the original poster seemed to have the problem of not getting sound via the headset at all.
