I forgot. If you don't feel safe killing ophonekitd, you can run litephone together with ophonekitd, and it won't cause problems, except that on incoming calls and messages you will get pop ups from ophonekitd. It's ok to switch the window and for example pick up the call in litephone. Thanks to the nice FSO api, they should work together flawlessly.
