There is now patch that should display note on homescreen, when modem receives AT command for incomming message, but the SMS application does not show any new SMS. If you click the note (it reads something like "1 debug sms") it will display some info. And after restarting Qt Extended the missed SMS will arrive. I have tested the patch by sending long SMS to myself and i could see missed SMS so i hope it works. The patch can be found in my github repo under patches/sms_debug.patch I will not commit it because it's ugly and temporary solution.
