Hi, Both devices are GTA02A6 or A7, so both things seem to be only software related. About 1: it's difference in bootloaders. Older one uses U-Boot, while newer uses Qi. About 2: as already was said, this looks like difference in GPS handling in software. 1-3 minutes is about time which is needed to get 3D fix without any assist data.
