You welcome =) Actually all is simple with this ubi stuff, misleading is that Qi hiding all kinds of logs from users and can't display any status information on screen and uses compiled-in kernel parameters. And may be yes, I never tried to study question but flashing with latest u-boot differers from flashing with older NOR version, so may be flashing u-boot to nand and using it to flash data to other partitions has some sense.
