We have a sync process we developed for our gateway service to keep the Exchange and IMail servers in sync, so the gateway picks up when mailboxes and added or deleted from the Exchange server. I would have thought I could just relay the whole domain (rather than setting up mailboxes?), after filtering is applied (assuming I set up the MX record in the DNS to point to the imail server with say, priority 10 and the real server with priority 15 ?) and then have Imail forward all messages for that domain to the exchange server, presumably after declude/sniffer runs. We do filtering for a number of customer and ISP Exchange servers that way. Just setup up an SMTP alias, e.g. office.example.com, on the Exchange server and forward mail from the IMail server for [email protected] to [email protected].
