I just received a call back from Smartertools support. They said that the issue is actually IIS related. To fix it, change the Smartermail Application Pool from Integrated to Classic. That fixed the issue for them and for us here at MBF. Thanks.

There seems to be an issue with the newest version of Chrome (38.0.2125.104 m) and the way it displays the CSS in Smartermail Webmail for SSL sites. If you are experiencing this issue, we wanted you to know what we have contacted Smartertools support and reported it. They were able to replicate it. We tested with Chrome 38.0.2125.104 (without the m) and the problem does not occur. The problem also does not occur in Firefox or Internet Explorer. We wanted to give everyone a heads up that Smartertools development will be looking into the problem and releasing a fix. Unfortunately, we do not have an ETA as to when the fix will be available.
