CALL FOR PAPERS

                        EuroGP2003

Sixth European Conference on Genetic Programming

Essex, United Kingdom, April 14-16, 2003

     ----------------------------------------------
     Key dates:
     Submission deadline: 20 November 2002
Notification of acceptance: 20 December 2002
Camera ready copy due: 17 January 2003
     ----------------------------------------------

The annual EuroGP series are the premier conferences in
Europe devoted entirely to genetic programming. Typically
30-35 submitted papers are published in the
conference proceedings. The standard is high with about
40% of submissions accepted for oral presentation.
The conference is a mixture of oral presentations and
poster sessions. ALL accepted papers (both orals and posters)
are published as full papers in the proceedings.

EuroGP conferences are always enjoyable and offer good
opportunities for informal contact with fellow researchers
in a friendly and relaxed setting.

EuroGP2003 will be held at the University of Essex, UK, in
     conjunction with EvoWorkshops2003.

     ---------------------
     Location
     ---------------------

Essex University, Colchester, stands in beautiful Wivenhoe Park,
in the heart of "Constable Country" - known for the rolling
English hills, woodland and fluffy white clouds as painted by
John Constable in the 17th and 18th century. Colchester is Britain's
oldest recorded town, a settlement for over three thousand years and
the original Roman capital of Britannia. It boasts its own impressive
Norman castle, a Roman wall circling the town, a "Dutch quarter"
consisting of many streets of 16th century buildings, and even some
famously haunted churches! It has a rich history, which includes the
great battle against the Romans by Queen Boudicca, and the English
Civil War (the "Seige House" still bears Musket ball scars visible
today).

     ---------------------
     Submission procedure
     ---------------------

High quality papers are sought on topics strongly relating to
genetic programming, ranging from theoretical work to innovative
applications. Submissions should be a maximum of ten A4
pages and they should be sent in zipped postscript format. It is
advisable that the papers conform to the Springer Lecture Notes
     in Computer Science format
     (http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html).

The reviewing process is double blind. Authors should
remove their names from submitted papers, and should take
reasonable care that their identity is disguised. References
to own work can be included in the paper, but should be referred
     to in the third person.

It is very important that the email accompanying submission
should state ALL the authors, including ALL their email
addresses. To avoid problems with electronic delivery,
papers should be emailed to BOTH of the program
     chairs:

     Terence Soule <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
     Conor Ryan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

A notification of receipt will be emailed a few days after
     the deadline.
