This site resulted from collaborative research effort carried out under
Esprit LTR Project METAL (1 Dec. 1998 till 31. Aug. 2002).
The objectives of the site can be summarized as follows:

Achieve best data mining results with minimal effort.
Your Challenge:
Select that data mining method out of a multitude of available methods
that is most suited for your data.
Our Solution for You:
Obtain a ranking of suitable data mining algorithms through our online
advisory system.

Our site permits, among other things, to upload datasets, get the
recommendations and run selected algorithms and compare the results.
I would like the members to see for themselves. I would like to invite
you personally to give a glance at the site to have an idea of the
service provided.
By the way, both the research and the site obtained rather high
appraisal
from the reviewers at the last (Oct. 02) review meeting in Brussels.
Our recent analysis showed that the registered users of this site come
from about 20 countries. Europe is of course represented, but it makes
sense to promote it further, given that European reserchers were
involved.
