(I'm resending this message since I mistakenly used a wrong address before.
Apologies if you receive it twice)

FYI, please be awared that there's a remaining bug in the Capture Agent
Installation scripts. The bug is described here:
http://opencast.jira.com/browse/MH-6950 and it basically affects the Epiphan
hardware detection.

It had already been patched, but the patch didn't still fix the problem. A
(hopefully) final fix is about to the committed to the 1.1.x branch, but
unfortunately won't be reflected in the 1.1.10173 tag.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
Rubén

P.S: Carlos, we are currently testing the RC2 in Vigo, but feel free to get
your own copy from the URL provided and test it for yourself. If you detect
a bug you can post it to the list or let us know so that we can upload it to
Jira -I'm assuming you don't have an account and I don't know if you can get
one-. I promise we would give you full credit anyway ;)

> Hello Adam
>
> At Universidad Politécnica de Valencia we are very interested in trying RC2
> as soon as possible. We are now with 1.1 RC1 up and running and we have
> seven capture agents installed with 1.0 and 1.1 recording lectures for about
> 1 month.
>
> So if we can help with the QA tests, just let us know.

> I encourage anyone who is thinking about deploying 1.1 to try out this
> release candidate, particularly the many new institutions who have
> recently been active on irc and list. Ideally for the next week, your
> institution should run this candidate continuously and pound on it! This
> is also a great opportunity to look at the documentation and let us know
> if it needs help. Please keep in mind that you should follow
> http://opencast.jira.com/wiki/display/MH/Trunk but refer to the rc tag
> rather than trunk for the svn path.

> If you intend to test this release candidate, it would be great if you

> for a spin. This is not the final release of 1.1, but we're very close!
> If all goes well in QA, this may very well be our last release candidate.

> Thus far, ETH Zurich, UC Berkeley, University of Vigo, University of
