Dear Opencast community,
To transition toward our newly adopted governance approach [1], we need
to hold elections for the new Opencast board this fall. The first step
is to form an election committee that will define and manage the process
and procedures for holding elections.
I am looking for 4-5 volunteers to join the election committee. Election
committee members will not be eligible to run for a board position
during this election period, so if you are interesting in running for a
board position, please abstain from volunteering for the election
committee. I imagine the time commitment will be very limited - 3-4
meetings at most, and only last through this election period. Anyone in
the community (if you're on the mailing list, you're in the community!)
is welcome to volunteer.
