Hi Avinash Jain,
thank you for your interest in this subject. To know popcorn.js is for
sure not a bad pre-condition. The current player component is a mixture
of Flash and HTML. The annotations will probably be created as an HTML
canvas layer over the flash video display component.
I see two main challenges in this task:
1. the user interaction design to make easy and usable to create these
annotations.
2. to make sure that the annotations layer is always lying correctly
over the video. The video may be resized, the view-state changed, etc..
What do you want to understand more about the annotations?
