It would be interesting to come up with these skills.  Eg. if the first
video in every series was a short 2-4 min video that dealt with how to
incorporate lecture capture into studying.  This would be a great
community-developed resource if there is interest.

One of the issues with our study is that we don't know much about the
student study habits outside of the lecture capture environment. Maybe
using lecture capture to cram is bringing student marks up from dismal
to average.  We are considering ways of determining student study
habits other than self-reported measures, and advice would be welcome.
For instance, we might be able to look at their use of lcms systems,
online textbooks, etc.

If there is a good instrument for self-reported studying habits I would
be interested in learning more about it as well...
