Hi,
I am experimenting to get LetuxOS running on the
Raspi-Zero-W. It already works on the Raspi-3B+
for long time and basically the setup should be
cross-compatible.

I.e. it should be possible to swap the µSD card
between both. At least it "simply works(TM)" with
some Raspbian µSD - but not with my LetuxOS build.

It turns out that kernel+device-tree are not
being uncompressed and starting.

What I could not yet find out is if the mainline
kernel generally has a problem on Raspi-Zero (and
needs patches not upstream). Or if my build process
needs some tweaks because the 0W has subtle
differences to the 3B+ which manifest during kernel
uncompress (there was something like that with
the Letux 400 where the built-in U-Boot can't
uncompress a modern and big uImage).

Another observation is that the device tree binaries
are quite differently sized between Raspbian and
the LetuxOS build - and can not be swapped.

Does anyone on this list have experience with
building and running mainline kernels for the
Raspi-Zero?

BR and thanks,
Nikolaus
