Alta Vista Gardens holds plant/art sale
Alta Vista Gardens will hold a membership drive and plant and art sale from
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 1 at Brengle Terrace Park, 1200 Vale Terrace Drive,
Vista. The event is to promote membership and volunteerism at Alta Vista
Gardens,
which is a community-centered garden being developed in Vista. Call (760)

San Marcos offers garden plots
The city of San Marcos hosts a community garden at 1263 Fulton Road.
Fifteen-by-20-foot plots are available to residents for an annual fee of $20.
New
gardeners are also assessed a one-time initial fee of $20. The garden is
designed
for personal and family gardening, not commercial gardening. San Marcos
residents 18 and older may apply for a plot. To learn more, potential gardeners
are
encouraged to visit the site and speak to the on-site resident. Call San
