In the powerfully honest movie, "Life And Debt," life in Jamaica under WTO debt is documented. One of the horrors is that organic dairy farmers are dumping literally thousands of gallons of good organic milk away every week. Why? Because in the depressed economy, and under WTO debt rules, Jamaica must by U.S. powdered milk. Jamaicans in general cannot afford the fresh organic milk, so buy the powdered. Without customers, the organic farmers must pour their natural, nutritious milk away, and the Jamaicans drink the, most-likely, inferior product.
