Green Corps Program Manager
Primary Function:    Manage the Green Corps program for urban youth in
grades 9 through 12 with primary responsibility for program planning,
implementation, and evaluation, staff recruitment, training, supervision
and team building.  Green Corps is a program that engages youth through
hands-on gardening to build knowledge in environmental stewardship,
health and nutrition, foster a sense of civic pride and learn basic
entrepreneurial skills.  The program strives to instill life skills in
the students focusing on leadership development and job readiness for
future education and careers.
Qualifications:   Bachelors degree in education, horticulture or related
area is required along with excellent organizational, project
management, supervisory and communication skills. Demonstrated ability
to form community networking relationships and to organize educational,
vocational and/or community service programs is desired. Classroom or
informal teaching of science a plus, 5-7 years experience required.

Education Summer Intern
Primary Function:  To assist Cleveland Botanical Garden staff in the
management of plantings, structures, educational features and
programming of Hershey Children's Garden (HCG) and Education Department
programs while enhancing individual horticultural and/or educational
knowledge base.
Time Commitment: April/May through August/September, 32 hours per week. 
Qualifications: High school graduate with minimum 2 years in college or
post-secondary program: prefer education, environmental/natural
resources, horticulture/agriculture, museum exhibit/interpretation
studies or related field. Experience in youth leadership or counselor
roles.  Good communications skills.  Availability to work week days and
weekends.

Green Corps Youth Crew Leader Intern
Primary Function:  This seasonal internship requires a high-energy
individual who will be an integral member of the Green Corps team with
responsibility for the daily programming and supervision of a Green
Corps youth crew, their gardening instruction and youth development,
providing leadership, student mentoring and supportive team building. 
Time Commitment: mid-May through August, with somewhat flexible start
and end; 40 hours per week
Qualifications:  Candidates at least 19 years old - an Associate or
Bachelor degree in horticulture, education, child-youth development,
agriculture or a related area is preferred an/or significant experience
or background required.  Experience working with youth is highly
desirable.  The ability to work in collaborative relationships with
people of diverse backgrounds, as well as excellent communication skills
is essential.
