Dear All,

I just met with a city inspector responding to a complaint regarding my
front yard landscaping, which turns out to be my best effort as an "intern"
urban farmer to make a "Front Yard Victory Garden."

Her complaint regarding my not having wood chips as ground cover between my
plants makes sense to me and I plan on immediately complying(unless someone
gives me better reasons not to).

But it is my anxiety that Milwaukee's codes regarding composting might
confine us if we follow the letter of the law to tiny plastic containers
that will never contribute toward enough heat in the ingredients "breaking
down" to make much sense.

Can anyone offer a list of the finest codes anywhere around(beyond North
America) regarding urban habitat composting?
