Aren't those evasive plants frustrating? You plant 'em, then they don't bloom, and a year or two later, there they are blooming away in another part of the garden. Or they go from flower to fruit so fast that you almost miss the fruit hiding under the leaves.

Subject: [Community_garden] Questions of Rules and Guidelines..

Good Day, I have volunteered to be on our Community Gardens Task Force,
where we are attempting to revamp some of the current regulations
and guidelines. Abandoned plots, trees, evasive plants, dangerous
fences, etc are overwhelming current resources and posing danger as well
as being deemed "ugly" by near by residences. So we are attempting to
poll other community gardens for ideas. So if direction, guidelines,
rules, recommendations, etc could be sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED]; we
 would greatly applicate it.

In addition, for community gardens that have revamped rules, were
current plot holder's fences, arbors, trellises, etc Grandfathered ?

 Thanks in advance.
 Gary

What is the Cost??? Conference fees are $25 for Thursday dinner and $45 for
Friday sessions, but we ask conference participants to pay what you can or if
funds are low attend at no cost. . We want NO one to feel that they can not
attend because of lack of funds. We witness the Federal Government bailout of
huge corporations and financial institutions and we figure that if they need
help, then our community members do as well. This offer of pay what you can or if
funds are low attend at no cost. is our way of recognizing that the large
increases in gas prices, food prices, utilities are adversely affecting the
average citizen even more than big corporations. We also want lots of community
input into this direction of food policy council and sustainable local food
