"Organic, no-till gardening and farming does not require buying anything,
from anybody, at anytime, for anything.
Ken Hargesheimer"
I agree Ken, and that's why I am looking into ways making my own biochar from
stuff that is free. Some of my VERY GREEN friends already do. My friend Lisa
is a trained permaculture expert and I expressed to her my concern about
biochar. She assured me that biochar is an environmentally sound practice and
that it actually sequesters CO2, keeping it away from the air. I addition it
saves water and fertilizer, both good for the earth and thrift. We are also
looking into getting free biochar from Jack Daniels and George Dickel
distilleries, where it is a waste product and currently goes to a landfill.
