First-Ever Lehigh Valley GARDEN TENDERS TRAINING WORKSHOPS?with the
Pennsylvania Horticultural Society?
For the first time ever, The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and
Sustainable Urban Neighborhoods of the Lehigh Valley (SUN*LV) are holding
Garden Tenders workshops for community gardeners in the Lehigh Valley, PA.
Saturday, April 9th, 2011, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Penn State Lehigh
Valley, Center Valley, PA and Saturday, April 30th, 2011, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30
p.m. at Rodale Institute, near Kutztown, PA. Learn the basics of starting
and running a community garden as well as hands-on organic gardening tips.
Registration is $49 for both workshops, or $29 each. For details contact

Sustainable Urban Neighborhoods of the Lehigh Valley (SUN*LV) is
a volunteer project of the Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley.
SUN*LV works with organizations and residents to help start and support
existing community gardens in neighborhoods across the Lehigh Valley.
The group is also currently sponsoring the SUN*LV Community
Garden Challenge Grant, to help fund new community gardens in the Lehigh
