Greetings all,
I am a veteran who has benefited from gardening and horticulture as both a healing exercise and therapy. Recently, a number of veterans groups around the country are turning to gardening and horticulture to do the same for Iraqi, Afghanistan and even some Vietnam era veterans. Some groups are also using this approach to train future organic gardeners and farmers.
I would like to gather the names, locations, contact information and if a blog or website exists that information also, for as many activities and groups as I can -- even those more aligned with an existing community gardening group, urban or peri-urban agriculture effort, and/or farming efforts, rather than being a separate activity.
The intent of this information gathering is to attempt to pull together a coalition and network of such activities, and create a Wikispace where those activities as well as lessons learned and other information about gardening and horticulture the veterans would like to share, can be.
All information gathered will be shared with this listserv, as will the url of the Wikispace when it is created.
Please send all information to me at E.J.P. Muhly <ecorslve[at]earthlink[dot]net> and not to this listserv.
Warm regards, jp -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
