For those who are using CE as a submodule, deploying to Heroku can be a pain. I wrote a little rake task to automate this, allowing me to deploy to Heroku and still use submodules in my app. Basically, it just exports the contents of my current app directory to a new directory, and uses that directory as a new git repo to deploy to heroku.
