The Department of Mathematics, Temple University, is inviting applications for
a non-tenure-track Research Assistant Professor position. The appointment is
for four years, to start on July 1st, 2023.
This position is part of a US-German Collaboration toward a biophysically
principled network model of transcranial magnetic stimulation. The ideal
candidate will have profound knowledge of numerical and computational methods
for solving partial differential equations, excellent C++ programing skills and
an interest in neuroscience/life science applications.
The position also carries a teaching load of one class per semester.
Applications should be be submitted via mathjobs.org, and include: the standard
AMS Cover Sheet for Academic Employment, a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a
statement about current and future research, and a teaching statement. A
complete application will also include at least four letters of recommendation,
one of which addressing the candidate’s teaching qualifications.
Review of applications will begin on January 1, 2023 and continue until the
position is filled.
Temple University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer, and is
committed to increasing the diversity of its faculty. We especially encourage
applications from women, minorities, and other under-represented groups in the
mathematical sciences. The Department of Mathematics at Temple University
abides by the AMS postdoctoral offer response date guidelines.
