Thanks for the compliments.
It's actually nowhere near as fearsome a task as it might seem.
No soldering, apart from about five wires to the A/C sockets and plugs.
The only rewiring is of the five-connector power supply to the logic board
from the 475's PSU, and the supplying of longer HD and FD leads. Oh, and
the mains supply to the PSUs - yet to be done.
The wiring for the display is lifted straight out of the 12" monitor, and
kept just as it is, the yoke and 'CRT end' PCB being placed on the SE/30's
CRT.
It's basically a re-arrangement of large units - FD, HD, video board, logic
board and PSUs.
If I can lay my hands on some 12" mono monitors, I might start offering to
sell some SE475s, now that the 'research' has been largely done.
