Careful there.  It's not the CRT that's the problem - it's the video board
that sticks onto the back of it.  Get a greyscale or VGA-capable board
instead of the TTL one that the SE uses, and you've got yourself a setup.
The problem is figuring out how to do that other than cannibalising a 12"
monochrome display, the likes of which I've not yet seen at local auctions.
(And no, I won't pay shipping on one - that would just be ridiculous!)

If anyone's got a 12" mono that works fine but they don't want, I'd like
the video board and possibly the power supply from it :)

Alternatively, will any of the other video boards from other Apple monitors
fit the SE's CRT?
