Yo compacters everywhere,

"A. Daniel King" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> sez:

>Alright ... here's the 400K drive info. Lynn Lasswell has it right.
>Long-winded detail follows at:

>HTH, please let me know what you think. -d

Dan, you are a Gawd! Now I gotta go get that stack of 400k drives and do it to 'em.
This explains why my giving them my "floppy douche" treatment with WD-40 musta crapped
up the sensors with all that old gease crud. I mean it happened to all four drives all
at the same time right after their douche. I sure hope you can leave this site up or
get it into the care of someone who can support it for a long time. This subject is
going to become more popular as all that classical grease becomes sealant. In a stash
of Mac stuff that came into my hands was yet another Pina tome on fixing and upgrading
the really auld Macs. It is a lot better book than his Dead Mac Scrolls book. He
covers the 400k drive pretty well in both troubleshooting analysis and pictures. While
he might have gotten me there, Dan, ya led (pun intended) me right to what I need.
Thanks,

Bill
