I am no, er, Gawd, but you are very welcome.  

I had the same issue with the lubricant bath ... you may want to clean
the other sensors at the front of the drive - you'll get 'read
only'-type errors if they are dirty.  One related TIL on the subject: 
http://til.info.apple.com/techinfo.nsf/artnum/n5911.  This TIL lists
all (if not then most) Macs since the Plus, and the types of 3.5 inch
drives each can use.  TIL #5911.

I do intend to leave the 400K page up, though it will need some
editing ... if I could be included in the Pickle's or Gamba's
FAQ/resources I would consider it a high honor.  I continue my quest
for worthiness!

Now, if I can just figure out how to get paid for doing this kind of
thing ... BTW: My resume is downloadable out there as well ... if
anybody is interested ...
