There is a MacWWW that runs under System 6, but I think you are 
thinking of MacWeb, which will work on a Classic under System 7.

Be sure to use the MacWeb 2.0c patch. Without it, many pages turn 
black whenever you try to scroll.  With it, well, it works for me!
