You're confusing the PPC upgrade card for the 575 logic board with a 'proper' Colo(u)r Classic which has a full PPC logic board and runs just as fast as the machine the l/b came from. The former are very slow, and rather expensive for what they offer. The latter get cheaper every month, but require a lot of plastic surgery and rewiring. A CC with a 6500/275 logic board is fast - with a G3 it will be thrice the speed. I'm at the early stages of putting a beige G3 logic board in a CC. With a G4 CPU installed, Mac OS X on a CC should be pretty neat!
