G.Younk at the Mac 512 site <http://www.mac512.com/> states that System 6 will run on a Mac 512 (64K ROM, MFS boot disks only). On the couple of evenings I spent trying this, I failed miserably. Has anyone succeeded or is System 6 support limited to the Mac 512Ke? My 512K will start to boot from 6.0.x on an MFS disk (ie no immediate sad Mac face and hex code) but freezes after about twenty seconds.
I can't see any real reason to run 6.0.x on a 512K -- it's too much of a memory hog, Marten ;-) -- but had vague hopes of running MacTCP.
