Possibly because if you used the yoke and 'CRT end' PCB from the CC, 
you'd
  have to interface it to the video circuitry from the 'new'
stuff; if you used a new yoke and 'CRT end' PCB, it'd be unlikely to fit 
and work
  well with the original CRT.

In any case, if you're using a CC CRT, you might as well use the rest of 
it!
