I often see posts from people looking for something that is no longer on a site. You should try the web archive. These guys regularly archive the net. Just type in the address and see what you find, eg. Apple has been regularly archived since 1996 - here is Apple's site on Oct 26, 1996:
http://web.archive.org/web/19961022105458/http://www.apple.com/ Unfortunately the scripting doesn't always work and downloadable files are missing, but the info is all there.
